About Mr Jang

Greetings to all! My name is Mr Jang, and my journey into education has been shaped by living, learning, and growing across multiple countries and cultures.

I was born in South Korea, where my early years grounded me in strong values around education, effort, and respect for learning. In Grade 5, I moved to Brisbane, Australia, which became my first experience of adapting to a new education system and learning in a different cultural context at a young age.

Later, I lived in Chennai & Bangalore, India, where I completed my IGCSE and IB education. Studying in an international environment exposed me to diverse perspectives, inquiry-based learning, and the importance of global citizenship—experiences that continue to influence how I think about teaching and learning today.

I then moved to Montreal & Vancouver, Canada, where I completed my university education and continued developing my academic and professional interests, particularly in science, health, and interdisciplinary learning. Living in Canada further strengthened my appreciation for inclusive education, reflective practice, and lifelong learning.

Now, as I move forward in my journey as an educator, I bring together these experiences to shape how I approach science education—from IGCSE to IB—with an emphasis on inquiry, real-world relevance, and thoughtful reflection.
